Whatever they do, we need a young energetic coach who can recruit. The old guy at atm is not on my list. Anyone else here think we need a change at the A.D. position also? Our women's sports programs are no where close to where they need to be for a school of national exposure like Texas.

This is simple. Kim make $1.1M at Baylor (only $50K more than Coach G). Pat Summit makes a shade over $2M. Call Kim and offer to double her salary to come to Texas, with a proviso that her salary will never be less than the highest paid Division I women's basketball coach. Is she not worth that?

Of course, there's the little matter of the five remaining years on her contract at Baylor.

Seattle, you miss the point. People are using the end of her tenure at Texas in 2012 to claim she was not qualified or should not have been hired on 2007. That is faulty logic.

But I apologize for letting facts and logic get in the way of your rants.

Camron was talking about then and not now seattle. Hindsight is always 20/20 and the gg hire will work wonders because now we know some things that we didnt before hand and success should come much easier this time around. Not to mention that Gail left the program as a whole in better shape than she got it.

Coach G's downfall was recruiting. New coach needs Texas ties or at least assistants with ties to the state of Texas.

Depend on which Coach they decide on. I could see major progress in the team. The talent is there!
I could never understand why we used our Post players for screens and rebounding only. Watch what the new coach do with the posts. If you only knew what other coachs say about the amount of talent at Texas. It would blow you alway!
