Firefox question, re: Acobat Reader

I'm having problems when I open an Adobe Acrobat file in Firefox. It will open the file no problem, but when I try to close the tab, or even the window, it will freeze Firefox up and I have to close it from the task manager. I can't navigate away from the page or anything either. The only thing that I can do is work in other tabs, and not mess with the tab that has the Acrobat file open at all. Has this happened to anyone else?

Acrobat and Firefox have never worked well together for me. Mine tends to freeze while the PDF is loading though, not when I try to close it.

I had same problem. You can go to Tools/Options/Downloads and then where it says "File types" click on PDF and change the action to open documents with separate Adobe Acrobat. That works for me, although it's an extra window.
