firefox help

I hit a wrong key with me browser open and it asked my to create a profile (or something like that). I couldn't go anywhere without so I did and now I have lost all my favorites and saved passwords.

Anything I can do to fix this ?

That happens because you still have a firefox process running in Windows.

Sometimes when you close firefox it doesn't actually get killed in the OS. Then you try to open it again and it asks you about the profile stuff.

Cancel the profile stuff, ctrl-alt-del to bring up task manager, go to processes, and kill all the firefox processes listed.

Then it will open like normal again.
