Finished Hunting Labs?

Anybody know a local breeder/trainer who has access to finished hunting Labs? Preferably 3-4 years old small female. I have a friend looking to replace an old dog he just lost.

He'd like someplace close enough so he can drive and spend time with the dog a few times before making a decision.

Call Canine Hilton if you are in Austin and ask the same question. The local kennel, owned by Cactus Pryor and John Williams should be able to help. They would at least know the name of local breeders.

Visit www.retrievertraining.net and click on the classified board. A truely finished retriever won't be cheap. Although if you friend isn't interested in trials or hunt tests, a gundog/family dog will be cheaper.
