FINAL FREAKIN' FOUR!!!

Congrats to Jerritt Elliott and the ladies on earning a trip to Omaha! Maybe Augie can give them some pointers?

25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 25-12 (or something like that) over Iowa State. Wow, that was fun! Have I mentioned what an awesome pit Gregory Gym is?

We still didn't play that great again, and we're showing an alarming habit of falling behind early each game, but we were just flat-out bigger and badder tonight than a tough ISU team tonight.

Looks like we'll get Stanford on Thursday night, because they're just laying it on Hawai'i in the second set right now.

congrats to the Horns. Hopefully Nebraska will join you guys in a couple hours (gotta play Washington in Seattle - tough task but hopefully we get it done).

A Texas-Stanford-Penn State-Nebraska final four would be kickass. Here's to hoping it happens.

this team is so hard to watch. two sets they roll then get *** stomped in the third set then roll in the fourth. but hey a win is a win. wish I could go to up Omaha.

Final Four is set - Huskers advance in one of the greatest comebacks in the history of their volleyball program.

Nebraska v. Penn State, Texas v. Stanford.

I stayed up and watched the U-Dub game...

Not sure how a team that good could blow a 9-3 fifth-set lead at home.

Oh well, the Huskers have the best shot at knocking off PSU anyways, and a big rocking crowd will be good for the sport.

I suppose this also means that UT-Stanford will be the 6pm game Thursday.

One of the ESPN volleyball analysts has already named 2008 Penn State as the greatest NCAA volleyball team ever.

Personally, I think the 2005 USC football team would have roofed, spiked, and aced all over them.

Moooooo, there were still some tickets available through Ticketmaster, last time I checked (Sunday morning?). Of course they were high in the upper deck (and behind the end line, which we prefer for volleyball). I also received an Email from AVCA over night last night saying they had some tickets left. The Link Location is listed as "Upper Arena," not specific section/row/seats. (Your assigned seat location may not be critically important for the Texas match Thursday...or for the final, for that matter, depending who plays in it.)

Shouldn't there be tickets allocated for the participating schools? Where does one get those? The foundation? I tried to get an answer from the ticket office, but couldn't reach a live person. I tried to get an answer from the foundation, but they transferred me to the ticket office...where I already couldn't reach a live person.

Thanks s10.

I spoke with the UT Ticket office this morning, and was told they were given a small number of tickets, and they would be for players/coaches families, etc.

Hard to believe that in an arena that seats 20,000 people that each school wouldn't get at least 1,000 tickets. That's a shame they don't think of fans of the schools making it to the even.

I spoke and bantered with a few of the girls yesterday. They were excited but focused on remaining finals. They were not overly anxious about the Final Four but taking it seriously. Way to go, gals.

We decided it is fate they play Stanford, the one team they have not gotten a chance at avenging their only losses to. They took care of it all v. others who got lucky dealing a loss to them, ha ha.

They have their heads on straight and should kick some ***. But we will all be proud of them win or lose.
