Final Four

I must say, I did not expect that UConn would beat Florida. I am happy to say Wisconsin is currently beating that sleazy Calipari, but Kentucky has trailed by 9+ in the first half of their last three wins also...

After conclusion of Wisconsin-Kentucky, deleted DVR, switched to movie, will not watch championship game or watch ESPN or The Herd all next week. Or read or follow any sports.

A seven and eight seed in the final. This has to be a first. I don't think a seven seed has ever won the title and an eight seed hasn't done it since Villanova in '85.

There's no doubt Calipari is a huge sleaze bag, but there's also no denying the guy can coach - especially in the tournament.

A couple of interesting side notes: UConn was Obama's pick before the tournament to win it all and then there's the guy (that I mentioned in another thread) who everyone was calling an idiot after he got a very prominent "UK 2014 National Champions" tattoo several weeks ago.

I had Florida and Wisconsin for the finals w/ FL winning.
So close yet so far.
Oh well....**** it.

I was surprised to learn that in ESPN's contest, almost twelve hundred out of eleven million entries picked UConn and Kentucky to play in the final. Only just over 1%, but still ...

That makes more sense. I guess that pretty much equates to random picks of teams that had any reasonable possibility of making the final.

I would think there were a number of people that picked those two teams on name association, with less regard for seeding.
