ND vs UCONN

Predictions?

My prediction is Baylor over Stanford, but by the smallest of margins. Maybe even stanford pulling the upset. IMO the inside play will cancel eachother out. I know most posters are thinking im nuts, but here's what im thinking. Griner can only guard either Chiney or Neka, and whoever she's guarding will be a non factor. However, the other player should have an advantage over Williams with her not being able to guard that type of size and athletecism, and williams will also have trouble keeping them off of the glass as well IMO. Also Griner will have to guard all the way out to 15-18 feet because both players jumpers are much improved. This game will come down to the guard play and with the way Baylor defends the perimeter and the play of AA Sims for Baylor gives them the edge.


Then I have ND over Uconn going away, and then Baylor over ND in the final game.

My bracket has Stanford over Baylor. Of course it also had Kentucky over UConn, so what do I know. But, I do think Stanford has the inside game to match Griner, although neither should be able to stop the other. I think the only undefeated team to ever come to the final four and not win it all was a La Tech team…….maybe some foreshadowing there?

ND over UConn and Stanford wins the championship.

Which is not to say that I would be surprised to see Baylor finish undefeated…..If Griner is able to get either of the sisters into foul trouble……

What an excellent group, as reflected in my bracket picks! Man I wish we still had the bracket challenge on this board. I think any of these 4 teams could win it all but I'm going with Baylor over UConn for the championship.

I agree with utfann, and think the key for Stanford might actually be Chiney. Griner is going to guard Nneka, and depending on what happens with those two, Chiney will really need to step up and have a great game. Obviously Baylor looks strong, but there have been a number of teams who played them to within single digits this season, inc TT twice. I think the other teams were Tennessee early on, and the Ags late in the season. I just hope it's a good game, or if it is a blowout I hope the Cardinal come out on top! But I don't really see that happening; even if an upset happens and the Bears lose, I don't think it's going to be by much.
