I was up at the Pennybacker bridge for sunrise this Saturday morning taking some photos. I walked down the trail away from that lone tree on top, and on my way back ~ 730am I found there was a film crew making a movie. I spoke with the guys a while - they were from New York.
The movie is called "Weary Son." I watched a scene where a man in a black outfit (looked western-like) fought with a young guy in a light blue t-shirt. In one scene, the guy in the blue shirt was packing heat - looked like an old revolver.
They were pretty nice folks. At the bottom of the trail back where you park, there were two women sitting in chairs. I assume one of them was the leading lady because she was nice on the eyes. They said they were there (here in Austin) for 3 weeks filming the movie should be released next March or April.
Anyone know anything else about this? It was kinda cool watching the people work. They had lights, make-up artists, sound mics and stunt stuff set up.
