The U.S. team lacks the individual talent that the '07 team had...after two games I'm not sure if any of these kids has a legit chance to push the senior squad like Jozy, Bradley or Freddy did.

That said, I like the way Rongen coaches...the team is patient, has good vision and keeps the ball well, unfortunately they tend to make immature mistakes. Nevertheless, this is the second U-20 WC I've followed and again I enjoy watching the youngsters (win or lose) more than the seniors. Hopefully the kids can sustain what they did against Cameroon and move on into the round of 16...

Go Yanks!!!

The starting lineups were fairly different I believe from the Germany game to the Cameroon game. I didn't watch either game, but from what I read, Dilly Duka provided a much stronger presence in the middle than Mikel [Norwegian Name] did. Also, even though he wasn't even on the original roster, Bryan Arguez (sp?) was not only added to the squad for the tournament, but when he got significant playing time in the second game, he showed that he is "class". (I hate that expression, but that and "I rate.../ I don't rate..." are part of the soccer vernacular.)

The defender (?) Sheanon Williams (sp?) also played in the second game and not in the first I think because of injury. Supposedly he is far superior to whomever he replaced. (I think that he's also the usual starter.)

I would like us to play our best team and not necessarily the "good kids". When it comes to soccer, I have much more of an international mindset. Soccer in the US is often a way from the "good kids" to show their stuff. I want the pinche cabron that gives us the best chance to win.

It's three and out for the USA after losing to S Korea 3-0, then eliminated By Costa Rica on goals scored (5 to 4) as the 4th best 3rd place team.
