last weekend when i got home at 3am i saw this mammoth frog. picture doesn't do it justice. i wear a size 10-11 flip flop and this thing was bigger than more than half my foot.

he also liked to be scratched. he'd lean his head over like a dog would so you'll get behind the ears. or he was frightened.

i wish i hadn't no sex at all with myself afterwards.

Locust and they are also called Jar fly's. They start out in the ground as the thick white grub worms with a blue head. Great fish bait.

It's a chichada and that little transformation takes place about 50 times every night in my backyard.

Jebus, did some of you grow up in Connecticut?!!??

That's not a locust and it's not a "chicada."

It's a cicada, which really should be the State Insect of Texas, if there is such a thing. Me and my childhood friends would spend most summer evenings trying to catch those things because they really go batshit when you hold them.

Toads are sometimes colloquially called "frogs," but that doesn't mean they're frogs.

Locusts are grasshoppers. Cicadas aren't locusts.

Don't even get me started on katydids.

thank god there weren't very many june bugs! My husband thinks it's funny to throw them at me.

If you have 50 cicadas in your backyard, life must suck. One of those MFs will keep me up at night.

I hate bugs.

We used to tie light thread around cicada's' heads and fly them around in circles. We would tie firecrackers to them and turn them loose too.

We were sick little *******.
