I thought for DTs that DeAires Cotton and Daniel Noble had invitations to our JR days? When is Jordan Hicks, LB from Ohio, coming to our JR. Days?

In reviewing last year's Jr Day results we had verbals from 12 of the 09 class by the end of Feb plus 5 more by the end of March. Be interesting to see how many offers we release through Feb this year.

Only 1 RB on that list and he looks to be going to USC now. What about Malena from Cedar Hill or Princeton from Round Rock?

For DT, Tyrus Thompson in Pflugerville is worth a look.

Nice list for the first Junior Day...I wouldn't sweat the running back situation too much just yet. I think at least one of the top four high school backs in Texas next year will pick the Horns, and more likely, we'll get two of 'em. I see one of the four headed either west or toward Baton Rouge, and the other joining agricultural.

Aggie getting top rb's every year has got come to an end. How can a kid look at what has happened there for the last 10 years and still go there.

Right now it looks like A&M leads for Trey Hopkins, Traylon Shead, and Jake Matthews.

But, no knows whats going to happen until after Mack and les take thier shots.

Since the '09 OL class is pretty much stacked, won't Mack and the other coaches wait until the next JR day to look at OL prospects?

from what I have read, Texas may not take an OL in this class. We have loaded up the last few classes, and it is not a need position. If the top guys go elsewhere, I do not see Texas offering the next best available.

I think we should take at least 2, it is just such an important position. We need to see if anyone gets an invite to the 2nd Junior Day, if not, they will do more evaluations.

If they agree to be Horns, here's hoping Jeffcoat is as good as his dad, and McCoy as good as his brother!

Yes you can get a committment for 2010 already. USC has 2 rb's already committed for 2010. Mack does not want to talk about 2010 until 2009 recruits have signed, he does not want to take a way from their special day, which is Cool.

Sounds like people are saying 10 possible commits from the 1st weekend. Who is scheduled for the next Jr Day at this point?
