Your bank financial information is public information, might be a good idea to become familiar with how to read a balance sheet especially if that bank has derivative exposure and you have more than a measly 100K stashed. Don't know how long the 100K figure has been the amount covered by the FDIC but I do remember it being 100K in the 70's. Glass-Steagall Act dates back to 1933. Inflation adjusted thats about $560,000.00 in 1970 to 2007 dollars.
