Favorite Casino in South Lake Tahoe

Going skiing in Heavenly next week. Staying in CA, but close enough to walk to the casinos. What are the best ones?

There aren't a whole lot to choose from. It's really just Harveys, Harrahs, and Montbleu plus a couple of smaller, fairly run down places.

Harvey's, IMO.

harrahs is better for video poker if you like that sort of thing. Harrahs and Harveys are both harrahs properties and are connected by a tunnel that runs under tahoe Blvd. Montbleu is the old Caesers nad is still pretty nice. Horizon is a dump.

Whatever you do, don't get suckered in by the lovelies at the Blackjack tables next to Cabo Wabo's (in the tunnel). Granted I had a bit of drink in me but those tables KILLED me on an otherwise succesful gambling trip......or if you do tempt fate, tell them you are there to win Bloak's money back.
