The title should read Obamacare Signups, not Enrollments. People will be enrolled when they pay the premiums. So far the administration refuses to tell the American public just how many people that is. I'm sure they know, they are embarrassed to report the true numbers.

Fiesta, I think I counted 15 delays/extensions/etc. I could be wrong, though.
Now that the WH "has the numbers" to brag about, how will they spin the data to show that the young and healthy signed up in volume enough to balance the higher-risk enrollees?

I am still expecting this debacle to be delayed and re-written to blame the GOP. And then on to single-payer, the long-play goal from the beginning.

Hate what?
Anyone with at least a hint of honest cognitive thought knew the ACA was just a stepping stone to dismantle the health insurance industry so Uncle Sam can sweep in and implement single payer. It was never about "healthcare", and isn't proving to be about "affordable", either.

I feel bad for you if you can't see the forest through the trees on this topic.

How many are getting "free" healthcare? How many have paid? November will be a bloodbath for the democrats and that is even with them avoiding Obama and ACA.

So, the White House and DHS couldn't tell the media any hard figures for the past year, especially concerning the rollout bust, but NOW they have a solid grasp of enrollee figures? Riiiiiiight.
The same Administration that makes up numbers based on rolling dice for the past 5 years, caught over and again flat out lying to the public, is now telling us the figures they state today are accurate and legitimate?
Oceanfront property in Arizona on line 1, paso.

These figures come from the same Administration that said over and again, documented with ample video, "if you like your healthcare" blah blah...? Yup, accurate and honest numbers

"But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality.
Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night." Also, "The unpublished RAND study – only the Los Angeles Times has seen it – found that just 23 per cent of new enrollees had no insurance before signing up. And of those newly insured Americans, just 53 per cent have paid their first month's premiums. If those numbers hold, the actual net gain of paid policies among Americans who lacked medical insurance in the pre-Obamacare days would be just 858,298." Oops....

Its ironic that liberals use the moniker "Faux News" but trumpet the phony statistics put out by this administration.

It began with 'DEATH PANELS!!!',

then it became 'SOCIALISM!!',

then that turned to '1 YR WAITS FOR CANCER TREATMENT!!',

then more recently 'HOW MANY OF THOSE HAVE PAID UP?!!'

{What about figures of how many of those have blue eyes? And out of those, what percentage have a scar on the inside of their thigh? }

then after the website was open, 'WEBSITE IS A FAILURE!!',

then once the website started functioning and millions signed up, the latest is this:

So, the White House and DHS couldn't tell the media any hard figures for the past year, especially concerning the rollout bust, but NOW they have a solid grasp of enrollee figures? Riiiiiiight.

Even as millions of our fellow citizens are yearning to get good healthcare coverage, and have/are signing up by the millions, the right lurches in a mad rage from one line of disinformation to the other! Instead of trying to help their fellow citizens, they cling like rabid hyenas to their debunked and disproved nonsense.

Although on the one hand it's sweet comeuppance to see this john birch/tea party crowd going crazy, it's also concerning that there is a sizable percentage (~15-20%?) living in our country that think/act this way. Thankfullly, Obamacare does cover mental health issues as well!

I'd classify his comment more as an incoherent, rambling ad hominem. Instead of providing facts to discredit any links above, he goes with the tried and true Alinky stunts of deflecting, distracting and denying.

I'll give him credit- he is a Grade A troll, though

Roger35, that list you mentioned is additive, not mutually exclusive. All that **** is going to happen if the existing path is followed. We tried to warn you Democrats. Disaster is coming to the budget I expect on a scale like this that happened at the state level: The Link .

Why not implement all of it now if it is so great? Why the continued delays for this? Shouldn't the Democrats be crowing about the successes of this program and insisting on full implementation before the next elections?

My takeaway from Roger35's latest moronic diatribe is "Shut your mouth, how dare you question us."

Lovely. Just give us your tax money and individual control over healthcare decisions, and STFU. What a winner.

Rog, is that article the best you can do? It kinda proves you don't really comprehend what you read......

I see and hear over and over again how the GOP wants to repeal the ACA. However, they have yet to disclose any alternative plan.

I was always taught not to complain about the problem unless you have a solution. So, repeal the ACA. Then what?

What I'm finding funny is this:

1. Dems ram legislation through congress with no attempt at bi-partisan work, when 87 percent of the country says they're happy with what they have
2. Dems don't care enough about implementation to actually put people in charge who know how to implement, and then when things don't work, they say "that's just to be expected."
3. Dems come up with all kinds of rules on what people have to do, and then start waving them one by one until people start doing what they are told to do
4. Dems crow that enrollment numbers are rising - when in fact all that's happening is that people are doing what they are REQUIRED BY LAW TO DO

Apparently now compliance with law equals acceptance, buy-in and happiness. That sounds like some other kind of country, but I'm having a hard time putting my finger on it...
