Fat cutting supplements

I just started working out again, basically because even though my wife just a baby, she's already in way better shape than me. In fact, she looks great in her bathing suit and I've got a gut out to here.

I'm a little bit out of touch with all the new supplements. What fat cutting stuff have you used that worked? I'm not talking about diet pills, more like the stuff you use with strength training like chromium or pyruvate. Those are okay, but I'm wondering if there is better stuff out there.

I use Hot Rox. Keep in mind that you still have to work for these things to be effective. They give you that extra little boost in metabolism when you're not active.

Thanks for the heads up on Hot Rox. Man, that stuff is expensive! It's getting pretty good reviews though and it's ephedra free which is good.

Man, I'm starting to wonder about the wife. Ever since I told her that I want to get back in super-fit shape and basically catch up with her, she's been cooking some of the most rich, fatty foods, stuff she knows I can't lay off of. I mean it literally started the same day I told her.

I'm starting to think that she likes her husband a little soft in the middle.

Lucky you.

if you wanna get real serious, go to Ebay and buy yourself some Celebutrx. It will take 10 to 15 pounds off within a couple of weeks. Its some hardcore stuff though

They probably mean Clenbutrx. That sounds like good stuff, except for the fact that it can't be sold in the US. It's got aspirin, caffeine, ephedrine, and yohimbine. If you don't lose weight, there is a chance you might not care beacause you may be 6 feet under. I would skip e-bay and throw a few Bufferin, No-Doze, and some rat poison in a blender and make a weight burning smoothie instead and save the international shipping.

Couple years back I was doing the Stackers 2 and I'm not sure if they were chemically or psychologically addictive but I found myself feeling like I couldn't live without them. Finally I dropped below the 100 lbs mark and people started telling me "you don't look so good," and I decided I'd better quit them all together. Honestly, my whole life, exercise and just reducing my intake has been the answer. Careful if you decide to start taking something.

(p.s. breastfeeding burns like 2000 calories a day! hee heeee!!)

hmmm...that stuff sounds a little too hardcore for me. Anyway, I've been lifting a lot so my metabolism's kicked up a few notches.

I'm starting to wonder how dangerous ephedra really is. I read somewhere that the death rate for ephedra is 1/4 of the death rate for aspirin. I take aspirin all the time.

Anyone ever try Hydroxycut?

I did mean Clenbutrx, that's what I get for posting at three in the morning. Clenbutrx is hardcore, has ephedra in it, but it works in a more scientific manner than some of the other thermogenic fatburners.
I never bought into the harmful effects of ephedra, thought it was more or less a media campaign. The new Hydroxycut that is ephedra free is absolute ****, does nothing. The old Hydroxycut works and works good.

Well, if someone is a fatass, Oprah-watching housewife who doesn't work out then yes, nothing will cut fat.

But if you're like me, someone who is normally an athlete, who works out hard and is trying to go from "a little body fat" to "very little body fat," then supplements will help.

there is this revelutionary product guaranteed to produce fitness and lower body fat if you control you diet, it's called EX-er-CISE! It comes in two brands Anaerobic and Aerobic...

Okay, here's a field report.

I got some basic thermogenic stuff. Brand doesn't matter since they all have the same ingredients - bitter orange, green tea, yohimbe, chromium, guarana, and a shitoad of caffeine.

Took the dosage (4 pills) and went to the gym. Did my usual workout - squats, deadlift, power clean, bent over row, bench, military. No machines (I never use machines), just barbells and dumbbells.

Then did cardio for 45 minutes. My cardio consists of 2 minutes of all out sprint, followed by 5 minutes of light jog, then 2 minutes of sprint, etc.

Lemme tell you, my heart was beating like a ************. I thought I was gonna pass out. It was probably the caffeine combined with the fact that my asthma is acting up. There's definitely something going on though. I'll keep using them and hopefully I get used to the hyped up feeling.

I went on a steep uphill hike with the wife this past weekend and she totally kicked my *** with an 8 month infant strapped to her frontside. This sucks! I'm supposed to be the fit one.

All those ******* pills and supplements are overrated. Now if you have plateaued and have been working your *** off and are already in pretty good chape they might do some good. But indeed they are all the same, you would probably recive similar physical results from a placebo sugar pill.

you didn't get out of shape over night and you won't get in shape over night no matter who much caffine you ingest.

Clearly having your heart beating "like a mutherfucker" is probably related to the caffine, but you can achieve the same result in much safer manner than with some BS fat burner pills.

Just my opinon. But I just started trying to get my fat *** back in shape and I know exactly how to do it and it just takes time. I didn't get fat in six weeks and I won't get in shape in six weeks. No matter what I but to "burn fat" other than sustained daily exercise.

I hear what y'all are saying, but I just wanted to give the supplements a try. Even when I was at my most fit - able to train boxing and grappling basically all day - I was never able to cut that last few body fat percentages.

I know this isn't uncommon. A lot of competitive fighters who are in way better shape than I've ever been still have a slightly "soft" look to them.

I do attribute the heartrate thing to 3 things - my going really hard after being a fat slob for months, tons of caffeine, and asthma.

Okay, for anyone who cares here's another update.

The heartrate thing has stabilized. I think my body has gotten accustomed to the caffeine. I'm starting to see a big difference around my gut and especially in my face. I don't know how much is attributable to the supplements and how much to my workouts because I've been working out pretty hard.

I'll wait until I finish this bottle and lay off fat cutters for a while to see if there's any difference.

Here's another question - anyone ever try creatine? I'm not going to haul off and start taking creatine. I'm just curious.

Clenbuterol is great stuff, also called Spiropent. you can buy it in Mexico. I used t use it back i the day. good stuff, good times

I've used Adipoxil. It is a fat burning supplement made by I-Force. Pretty good stuff. Never had the jitters or missed any sleep, like when I took Ripped Fuel in college. I sweat a ton when I take this tuff.

Creatine works, but it retains water to increase the size of your muscles. So trying to cut fat and retaining water will make you still look a little puffier than normal. I'd recommedn cycling the two.
