A blurb in today's Houston Chronicle reported that Farrah Fawcett is hospitalized and unconscious, in critical but stable condition, in an LA-area hospital.

She had recently returned from Germany where she had undergone experimental cancer treatments.

Good luck, Farrah, and God bless you.

Unconscious? Sounds like the end is very near.

Damn........what cave have I been in? I didn't even know she was sick.

Needless to say, I can close my eyes and see that poster with the little red swimsuit that hung in my closet my entire adolescent-hood.

Wow....I didn't have any idea it was this bad.
Get Well.

When I was about 7 years old, this was on the backside of my brother's door, (which when closed was in my bedroom..)

Damn, worst news of the day. Heard it this morning on the radio. Com'on lady! Pull through!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but nonetheless, there are women who (to me) are physically flawless, and she was one of them. That poster of her was perfection.

And I concur, F cancer.

I did extra yard work and dishes for a week to get the money to buy that poster, which I cherished. Part of me still does even though I don't have it any longer.

Hey cancer, F you. You have messed with people I know, people I love and people who were loved by people I know. So F you. Go away, this is not the 70's fox you were looking for.

Farrah,

I too was not aware she was ill. I hope she beats this thing. Her poster was in my room in college... ah, the good old days. F... cancer

She's been released from the hospital. Apparently the issue was not her cancer this time.

It looks like it could be just a matter of days now.

I went through something similar with my big brother a few years ago. Saying goodbye is heartbreaking, but I'll always be glad I had the chance.

Like many others on here, I also had a poster of her on my wall at home and remember her as being the ultimate chick during the 70's.

Godspeed, Farrah.

I met her once, very briefly (she was usually accompanied by one or more football players) in the Co-Op around '66.

She had a luminous beauty and a stunning presence even then. So sad. God bless you, Farrah Fawcett.

It was on the news this morning while I drove to work. They said there won't be any more treatments and she plans to address the public soon. Still has ivs going but mainly for nurishment.
Sad news. I had the pleasure of talking to her many years back while I was in NYC on business. She is very cool.

Evidently she has been working on a documentary since the diagnosis, originially planned for family and friends. Now though she feels that it will help others understand this disease and how it has a ripple effect on all who love you. Evidently Ryan O'Neal has been a true rock, now how can that jackass son do this stuff when his mother needs as little to worry her as possible. I'm a girl, but I guess I had what ya'll guys call a "girl crush" instead of a man crush on her when she was a Charlie's Angel. And yes, she deserves better than anal cancer, or any cancer. As some so rightly put it on this board, **** CANCER. and I don't say that word very often.

I lived next door to her aunt and uncle when I was a kid. She came and visited them at least a couple of times a year...even after she made a name for herself. Even though she was seven or eight years older than me, she was always as nice as she could be and was never full of herself.

I've had her in my thoughts many times over the past couple of years, since I heard about her cancer. I hope she lives out the rest of her life the best she possibly can.

She is a Longhorn Legend.
