Family cruise

We want to take a family cruise instead of the usual week in Padre, this Summer. The problem is there are 5 of us; my wife and myself, and kids of 16, 13, and 8. Will we have to have a suite that accomodates all of us, or can we have 2 cabins, and what is the best/least expensive option? Anyone with experience on this issue?

you can get two cabins with connecting doors. you are kind of late in the game to get your choice of staterooms though. We did the 4 day carnival cruise to cozumel a couple of months ago. Didnt see many kids and the boat was pretty old and small. I wouldnt recommend that one. My friends did the Disney cruise last month and loved it. Pretty pricy though.
