Fame Question: two songs played I really enjoyed

okay, so my wife took me to see Fame, not that great, but there were two musical numbers I enjoyed. First, Out Here On My Own, I just saw the original on Youtube performed by Irene Cara, the second song I have no idea the name, it's the song the boy performs, he is playing the piano at his Dad's restaurant, he's playing piano and singing to the girl he's trying to persuade to be his girlfriend.

It seemed to be a pretty simple song, piano wise, just seemed to be several different chords.

Anybody know the name?

Thanks

Going to see "Fame" = gay (NTTAWWT)

Being married = not proof enough of non-gayness. Is your wife's name Bruce?

THUS, THE JURY HAS CONCLUDED YOU ARE GAY.

In defense of my mean spirited and judgmental post that is not-at-all indicative of my liberal leanings (only since November 2008, BTW), I will confess that I have been drinking. So it's OK.

I approve of swc.lives.on's drunken humor.
