It will be interesting to see if and by how much the people not interested change their mind as time goes by. As the hype begins, as they catch one or two on tv and as the date draws near many will catch the fever. Then, we should say to them, "Meh, we are not interested...no".
If they do with this thing what I think they are going to do with it, most people around here are going to use the place one way or another and absolutely love it whether they're race fans or not.
I voted, but how many Austin Business Journal readers are going to be interested in F1? This may not be the most accurate survey of likely fans. But it will still be interesting to see how it comes out. Maybe the business community would be the place where many F1 fans are lurking.
Voted but I'm guessing not the way you want me to.
I've been to a couple of races (Indy in '07 and Montreal in '10) and quite honestly did not enjoy them. The first one I was in town for work and scored a sweet ticket (basically all access including a private club in turn one). This year I was again in town for work and went with a work related group. I would not have gone if I realistically had a choice. It's not like it was having my teeth pulled and I was able to have a good time but I could think of a million other things I'd rather have been doing.
I must say though the pre and post race festivities were very nice. Some amazingly hot women out on the town for dinner and in the clubs, especially in Montreal.
