Anyone put it to use?

I have one like it. Go it to use with p90x.

Tape several layers of paper towels over the screws to the outside of the rubber pad on the part that goes against the wall over the door trim. With enough weight pulling on it, the screws will mess up your wall.

I have it and use it with P90X. It's well built, for what it is. I just don't like doing pull ups on a door frame. It feels confined to me.

I have several friends getting remarkable results with P90X. one, in particular, sent me his before/30/60/90 day photos and it was ridiculous.

I will say that regarding the $$$ issue, craigslist is outstanding. i got the P90X, and a pullup bar for $75.

I started week 2 last night. I should be good until the horns go on the road, but I'm going to try and work out earlier in the day when i leave on a Friday for a good 2 day bender. The KEY for me will be Sundays. Hung over as hell, it is hard for me to stick to a decent nutrition plan and get some exercise. I have just committed that Sundays have to be "get back at it" days. I just have to. I don't want to bust *** like you do with this program just to maintain status quo.

What is needed for the P90X work outs? Just a pull up bar and some dumbells?

scottsins,

I take it that you won't be joining me for "Titans Club" at the wing place on Sundays ... ? Boo.

"Titan's Club" was really "Vince Club" for me, so I'm going to give that up.

Seamus, dumbbells and pullup bar are a must. I also suggest getting the best thickest yoga mat you can find. Don't mock the yoga, it gets my heart rate cranked and pouring with sweat.

I'm in Phase III of P90x.

Generally, I think it's a good program. But I'm not sure the program is revolutionary. I think a lot of people will get results if they workout for more than an hour 6 days a week and closely monitor their food intake.

Tony is a great instructor. I'd definitely do more of his videos. I'm to the point where I've seen the videos a lot and turn off the sound (except for the "cues") and listen to music.

I have the pull up bar and 20#, 25#, 10# and 5# weights. Sometimes, I really don't have the correct weight, but I improvise or do more reps. If you don't have any weights, you may consider one of those adjustable weight sets for flexibility.

I still think Yoga is the hardest workout. It's brutal start to finish.

The best tips I received on the program were from the website. Go to beachbody.com and find a thread with people who stated about when you did and follow it until the end.

Im more insterested in this because its a guided workout program. Otherwise Id be working out random muscles and probably not at all consistantly.

Im just worried about the diet aspect of it. Does it recomend certain food to include in your diet or are there specific meals that have to be prepared?

The P90x diet can do either. It has specific meals or you can do a portion control and choose from a list of items. It has 3 phases with carb adjustments each phase. I do the portion control and carry a piece of paper with the foods in categories. It only takes about 3 weeks to learn the portions and which foods are in each category.

It's not too restrictive. I think the hardest part was finding time 6 consecutive days to work out.

I found a couple of videos online and tried a few of them like the ab one and arms and chest...and it was quite a workout!! Do you one video a day? Or one type of workout a day?

You do one video/day. however, on the lifting days, like chest/back, etc, you also do the Ab Ripper X workout when you are done.

As far as diet, i do my own. Lots of egg whites/lean protein, limited carbs, all from whole grain.

Some nuts/lean string cheese here and there, with some protein powder/berry smoothies mixed in.
