I don't like discussing this movie with people who haven't seen it, so if you haven't seen it but plan to, don't read further until you have seen it! If you've come here to decide whether or not to see it, just go see it! Trust me it's better to go into this movie not knowing anything about it.

Having said that....



Since a handful of people have see it (according to the Netflix suggestion thread) whatya think? Is MrBrainwash Banksy? Is he definitely not? Coming out of it, I leaned towards it all being a very large Banksy prank, and was impressed that the 'truth' never came out unlike the Joaquin Phoenix Doc, but now I'm starting to lean towards it being truth which makes it even weirder as a documentary.

It is a Banksy ruse according to several articles I read after googling. I KNEW the French guy was too good to be true.

Also, thanks to whomever recommended "Moon." Watched it last night. Powerful, thought-provoking film.

The only thing that I keep going back to is how old the footage is. Are you saying that Banksy has been planning this for YEARS, or are you just thinking that the creation of Mr Brainwash is all Banksy but the guy himself is real?
