Excel experts needed

I need to input data in to an excel spreadsheet, but it is "protected and is therefore read-only". Getting the password is out of the question, so how do I go about being able to input data.

It is protected from editing, but it may not be password protected; many times this is done for your own good. The first thing to do is try and unprotect the sheet and see if you are prompted for a password.

In Excel 2007, this can be found under the "review" tab. In older versions, I believe it is under "tools".

Just checked and it does require a "password". Any way around this????

I've never used this, but I've heard it works.
