Exceeding Expectations...

Does anyone feel like there is a better than average chance that we will do better than what is being predicted.

In my 25 years of following the Horns the vast majority of the time, when there was a erroneous prediction about our performance, we did much worse than predicted.

I know we have questions in the secondary, OL, and WR. But something just tells me that we have the chance to actually "surprise" people.

Just curious if anyone else thinks the same?

in reality, Texas usually fails to meet expectations. This is not a top ten team, imho. I can see 9 wins if things go as expected, but if our past two teams cannot get to a BCS game, no way this one does. No proven game-breakers on offense and a very young defense. That usually has the makings of 2 additional loses. I think we're headed to the Holiday Bowl barring a total meltdown, but I expected that with this team. It will be a fun year for me unless Texas simply has a bad year (less than 8 or 9 wins). I look forward to watching these young kids play.

For once it would be nice to exceed expectations rather than fail to meet them. Normally the expectations are so high that it is hard to exceed them in the first place. Here's the Horns chance this year.
