Everyone is ripping off Chick-Fil-A now

Both McDonald's and KFC have "Southern style" chicken sandwiches now with just the chicken, pickles and a bun... I'm actually surprised it took them this long to copy the original. But Chick-Fil-A is still the best, though.

Here's a Chick-Fil-A person's response.

i just find it funny people are complaining about it being ripped off, the whole idea of "inventing the chicken sandwich" etc - it's a piece of chicken between two pieces of bread. i'm sure there were hundreds of "inventors" throughout the South way back when, when "invention status" could be had. eventually you're gonna stick all your meats in some bread, fry all your meats, etc

It's not like inventing lasagna or sushi rolls or what's better, I guess back to sandwiches - I would think Monte Cristos, Reubens, Philly Cheesesteaks, etc, along those lines, those are the items that should be said to have been invented.

CFA uses a pressure fryer to cook their sandwiches. I doubt that McDonalds does the same. I have not McD new sandwich yet. Now I am curious.

I haven't tried the sandwich yet but had high hopes for the chicken biscuit. Highly disappointing. Chicken was nothing new or different. Biscuit was dry as ****. C-
Reminded me why I don't go to McDonalds much.

Last year, for quite some time (read ~2-3 months), McDonald's had their deep friend chicken breast sandwich on sale for AR$5. That was about US$1.60.

Considering there wasn't a Chick-Fil-A for a few thousand miles, it blew away the competition.

The McD version is good but with Chick-fill-a around why bother.

Plus Micky D's has a third more fat than Chick-fill-a.

the mcd's commerical... i always hear, "i would like to meet the person who made this chicken sandwich and just **** in their hand."

I refuse to try the McD version b/c A) McD sucks and B) I hate the commercials for the sandwich and hope that they will discontinue it if I do not buy it.

Aside from the food being better, the service at Chick-Fil-A blows McDonalds away. Most of the people at Chick-Fil-A actually seem like they enjoy their job. Plus, the drive thru is so damn fast the food is in my hand before I can put my change in my wallet.

I guess if you just have to have one of these types of chicken sandwiches on a Sunday McD will be your only choice

Someone did a side-by-side comparison of the McDonald's and Chick-Fil-A sandwiches. Not surprisingly, Chick-Fil-A came out on top. link
I used to love going to the Chick-Fil-A in Lakeway with my son. As a 2-year-old, chicken nuggets were one of the few foods he'd actually eat -- and on Tuesday nights they'd have kids activities and he'd eat for free.

Here in the D.C. area, most of the Chick-Fil-As are in malls -- which usually means the quality isn't as good.

While the Chick Filet is tasty I have never seen something so overpriced at a fast food restaurant.

mcdon'alds needs to hire people who have a better grasp of the english language. I don't need to hear some ghetto mumble that I can't even understand. It is a customer service job speak clearly dumbass.
