Bond people in Dallas County owe the county over $35M over the past 20 years. The inept Records system that Dallas County has tried to install for at least 13 years can't keep track of all the Bail jumpers.
My company bid on the Records Management system for the county in 1998, we had the best solution for longterm savings and growth with a lease that allowed them to expense vs capitalize over a 10 year period.
They went with a local MWO(Minority Women Owned business) or something along those lines that went bankrupt 2 years into the project. They then asked us to come in and bail them out, our price was 10x our original offer and they refused. They paid another company 5x what we originally proposed and that company screwed it up even worse.
I haven't followed it after the second time but every time I hear about the fiasco that is City of Dallas and Dallas County government I just think of the Flagship of Democratic politics in the state of Texas!!!!!
