ESPN's Todd Harris on Texas' Wed Scrimmage

I'm watching "College Football Live" and the host, Todd Harris, says:

Todd: "Well sticking with Texas and the BigXII, they had a scrimmage on Wednesday and the word is, 'not so pretty' we bring in Joe Schad, all things information Big XII, Joe, what do you know?"

Joe: Closed scrimmage, but this is the inside word we know from coaches, Todd..."

Joe goes on to describe terrific performances from both Vondrell and Fozzy as explosive players in the scrimmage.

What was "not so pretty" about the scrimmage, Todd Harris?

Jeezus.

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. All they did was say that VM busted out a long run and that Fozzy was fast - nothing negative. The "not so pretty" comment was bizzare.....it adds fuel to the fire that some folks at ESPN really don't like Texas.

College Football Live is absolutely one of the worst shows on all of television... but of course I watch it because it's about college football and I can't stay away.

I could go on for a ten minute rant but I'll leave it at CFL sucks ***.

Sounds like the "not so pretty" was that it was a closed scrimmage and therefore they had little direct observations to report.

Nope... I couldn't leave it at that. On yesterday's episode Todd Harris talked about Josh Jarboe transferring to Troy after a felony charge for bringing a gun to school and getting kicked off the OU team for his youtube rap. He then said "So we wish Josh the best of luck at Troy."

WHY??? Why the **** would you wish him luck. What has he done to merit a "good luck"? Maybe, "we hope Josh can turn things around at Troy" but not "good luck". Do these a-holes even listen to what they're saying?

Other than dropped balls and stupid mistakes - which can be fixed - I'm not sure how anyone can gleam anything from a scrimmage. If the O dominates, then the D looks bad and vice-versa.

I'm not really worried about what some ESPN tool says. I'll stick with trusting the coaches.

First off CFL sucks.

Secondly, I can't get the Wednesday highlights on MBTF to work. Is anyone else having this problem? When windows media player comes up it says cannot connect to server. What am I doing wrong?

That is classic! I doubt they even do! Lately they've been pulling anybody off the streets for this show...

Texas has a whole lot of fans in their fanbase. It is one of the most recognized symbols and mascots in all of College Football. Texas also has a whole lot of detractors and fans envious of all that is Texas. It is not rocket science to pander to one side or another. But it makes better sense for drivel like what they did above.

They piss off the fans and keep the detractors happy and interested. There is nothing to see here.

This year I am not watching the pre-season hype programs, the buildups nor looking at any polls. I am keeping up with news such as injuries to players across the country and things like that. You know, the meat and potatoes.

I have to admit it is quite nice since that other stuff is useless for the most part. I am watching Olympics, European soccer, cycling, Wipeout, Banzuke, Ninja Warrior among other things to be entertained by.

Then when it is time for kickoff of NCAA football I will watch. I don't care what the first game of the season is, I will watch it. I can quickly catch up on the ******** when the announcers go on and on about stupid things. Why do so now when you don't have to?

They want you to oblige them and validate them by posting and ranting about it.

We are Texas. They are not.

but still, you didn't see it. lamarr took the blame for that play and says he misread it. Rak said afterwards that he wasn't sure colt would have made it if they could hit the quarterback. with something so dubious, i think it's probably best just to reserve judgment, IMHO

A new (albeit, godlike) DC installs a new system, apparently one with lots of reads and variations, and someone misses an assignment allowing the starting QB (who is probably wearing a black jersey) to run for a td. That's it. We are doomed. We have no defense. It was all for naught. Muschamp is a fraud. I don't even want to own orange clothing anymore. No more oranges from HEB for me.

Another Auburn Fraud!

The last one helped us get only 1 NC.

I say we get a rope for this next impostor, followed closely by mass wrist slashing of fans............there is no hope.
