ESPNews HD on Directv

Word on the street is that Directv will begin broadcasting Espnews HD on Wednesday April 2nd at 5 am central. It will overlay the SD channel on 207.

This pleases me. They aren't gonna create one of those 207-1 channels? Seems odd, since that is how all the other HD counterparts have been added.

They previewed it on ESPN last Sunday am. In addition to the scrolling info at the top and bottom of the screen, there's a box on the left side that takes up about 1/3 of the screen, even during highlights, giving you a hi def picture in 4 x 3 format. Yippee.
