ESPN POWER RANKINGS

We come in at #4 today.

Interesting to go to the two pages of where individual voters put us. Two have us as high as #2, and Dickie V put us back the farthest at #8.

This all is rather pointless, nonetheless, it's interesting to see where ESPN personalities and commentators have us.

I just like being considered a Top Ten team these days...and I think we obviously deserve to be.

i just noticed that since the last ESPN rankings came out putting us at number 8,.....numbers 2, 4, 5 and 7 have all taken at least one loss....one of those (number 7?) took 2 losses. if we win tonight, we should move up at least 2 spots and probably 3. i think we start next week ranked number 5 with a win tonight.

Ohio State needed a late free throw to edge a Northwestern squad that is 3-7 in Big Ten play and lacked its best player (and leading scorer).

Buckeyes are certainly good, but I don't buy them being the best team in the land. I think Duke, Pitt and Kansas are better. If we don't get a No.1 seed and OSU does, I'd like to see the committee put us in the Buckeyes bracket ... assuming we could make it that far.

Arky picked up a nice road win today at No.22 Vanderbilt, 89-78. That should boost our SoS a bit.

And in Big 12 news, Tech has some how managed to win three games in conference play.
