ESPN acts like Okies the OSU have not suffered though terrible bowl game and MNC game butt kickings, four of their guys pick either OU or OSU to win the MNC, only one has any sense and picks USC and FLA. Good luck with these picks ESPN.

A lot of preseason championship picks nowadays are based on schedule as much as anything. OU's schedule gives them a great chance to run the table during the regular season. The B12 game in KC could be a wildcard. As for Ohio State, they may lose at USC but any other losses are inconceivable. As long as there aren't two unbeatens at the end, they head to Miami for another title game.

So I don't blame people for picking those teams. The rest of the Big Ten and Big 12 haven't really kept them in check. Someone in their conferences (ahem) needs to step up and knock them off for a change.

They will change their pick every week. What they need to do is just cover the sports and let us decide for ourselves who we think will win it all. But then I guess making us rant over their stupid predictions is better ratings for them.

How about your team getting blown out of back to back NC games.........

SC will never play in a NC as long as Pete Carroll is surrounded by his homegrown coaches. Our staff sucks and it has sucked ever since Pete forced Chow and company out so he could promote his jerkoff godson Kiffin and his lackey Sark to OC with Pete's choke collar planted firmly around both their necks at all times.

Our offense is typically a joke. Despite all that talent, the offense will once again be a disappointment. Play calling terrible, Sark is the most overrated assistant in the nation hands down. In fact Herbie today listed him as the 5th best play caller in the nation. That is so laughable, I dunno where to begin. Nobody has any idea what they're doing out there, same as 2006 and 2007. Did you know last year SC scored 24 or less points in half their games? Herbie had Sark as a top 5 play caller last year too lol. All this under the watchful eye of Pete who doesn't seem to understand that he's totally incompetent on the offensive side of the ball.

10-2 tops for SC, my prediction though is 9-3. At least one loss to a bad team, just like in 2006 and just like 2007.

Florida will win the NC, they'll lose a game but not to Georgia and not late in the year, they'll get in with a 12-1 record.....where they'll face Oklahoma who will go into the NC with an undefeated record. Sooners are loaded, Bradford, Murray, big experienced OL, I'm sure they'll find some WR, the DL is loaded, secondary loaded, I think just the LB is a question mark. They also have a favorable schedule.....Washington sucks, even if TT is good, it's in Norman, no way Oklahoma loses that one again, as for you guys, Mack can't do **** without Vince. I dunno how you guys put up with it. Oklahoma to the title game where...

the artist formally known as Big Game Bob loses yet another BCS bowl game and Urban Crier hoists his 2nd NC trophy and becomes the new king of college football.

Pete will be sipping mai tai's in Costa Rica watching 2 other programs play for a NC yet again even though SC is the most talented team in America.

USC will not get smoked by anybody.

Our offense sucks. Boeckman won't do anything vs our D. Wells will be tough to stop. Our defense rules though, he won't gain his yards easily. He might top 100 but it will take a lot of carries to get there. Don't expect OSU to put up a lot of points.

One thing though is Pete loves the bend but don't break defense or as I like to call it the bend over and take it up the azz d. It usually takes a loss or two before Pete lest the defense get nasty. Which is just stupid. We have the athletes and the speed to play aggressive defense from game 1. Good news for us is that's exactly what the D has been doing in practice all camp. If our CB's play 10 yards off the ball, OSU will win this game. Even if SC's D toughens up in the red zone, our offensive coaching and philosophy is too piss poor to move the ball down the field.

Look for our Defense to get nasty starting Saturday vs Virginia though. Which is bad for everyone else. I could be wrong but like I said this year practice has been different re: the defense.

However our offense stinks. You guys won't have much problem, our play calling is bad enough where even if your defense was lousy (which of course it isn't) we'd struggle. Our team has no discipline, penalties galore last year. We'll see if that improves. Sanchez is a turnover machine. Aaron Corp should be starting. The amount of talent wasted in this offense is sickening. Just look at our QB....we have the #1 QB in the nation coming outta HS from 2005 (Sanchez), 2006 (Mustain) and top 3 QB in 2007 (Corp) We also have the #1 QB for 2009 coming in next year (Barkley) It's like that at every position for SC. Yet we will still lose 2 games at least. We will still struggle to beat the dregs of the Pac-10.

Ohio St will NOT smoke USC. You guys may win, I think you'll win a close one, 20-17 or something but that's it. If SC was well-coached we'd kill you the way the SEC always does.

I have Ohio St going 11-1 and being left out of the NC game. Maybe 10-2 but probably 11-1 and on the outside looking in. Nobody wants to see you guys get raped yet again.

If Texas does not make it to the MNC game I would love to see OSU go down in flames for the third year or BlowU get smoked in another bowl game by a team they should beat.

Shark: Lloyd Carr is gone; that is not a good thing for the couch burning society. Your road won't be quite so easy now.

Seriously Shark.....Do you realize how aggy it is to constantly take the time to turn Michigan or UM into scUM every time you type it?

overrated? No, just poorly coached.

Ohio St can't compete with the SEC, you have no room to talk smack.

Hopefully whatever bowl SC is in, they will get someone other than the slow, fat Big 11 teams. Tired of an easy victory over those weaklings seemingly every year.

This thread has me confused? A USC fan bashing his own team, when he has not seen dominance like this in oh, about 30 years, Some Aggie talking about Michigan, I think, and something about no undeafeted teams since the Convict Bowl!! What year is this?

When you work for John Connor you never know what year it is.......

Shark...

You mean the NC that Ohio St. stole because an idiot referee, I think the side judge, called that phantom pass interference that set up a score...we both know Miami won the game...

Gimme a break, nothing against the OSU kids but everyone knows that game was jobbed at the end and I hate to see a referee cost either ball club...I was rooting for OSU but they had no busy winning that contest.

So you had rather lose a NC game knowing before hand that you were going to lose just to be in the game itself-not to mention getting blown out..........that makes sense.

Blaming that game on the ref is pretty sad. Sounds like Mike Leach blaming the losses to UT on the official, or Sooners point out Taurean Henderson when there is simply no conclusive evidence either way as to whether his knee hit before or after the ball crossed the plane.
