ESPN.COM...????

I cannot figure out why I cannot open espn.com.

If it is in my firewall (I have EZArmor from Road Runner) how do I get it to accept it?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you can access any other webpage, you should be able to access ESPN since it uses the same port (80) as most sites. What error are you receiving?

espn is extremely bloated..especially if you have motion installed.

it takes a couple of secs to load it up on my pc.

try the "lite" version of espn.

Mal, okay here is an example.

I went the the "On the field" board and tried to open the link to ESPN.com for the Cedric Benson sentenced thread.

When I click on the link (this happens EVERY time I try and open something with ESPN.COM) it:

a: gets to the page and I can read "ESPN.COM-NCF-Star Texas RB gets eight days in jail" at the top of the blue part of the page.
b:a blank white page
c:the green "bars" ( I guess to show how the page is downloaded ) at the bottom show that the page should be pretty much done.
The bars have filled up the box and show it is done.

So far, as I have typed and waited, it has been 4 minutes and no page has finished downloading.

TexasOwnsYou, that espn-lite page works for me, but that does not take me to the articles that others are "linking" me too (thanks by the way).

Holy crap, it just finished!!

So I guess it's the bogged down thing huh?

That was five minutes.
