1972, Defense was actually being played, maybe not 100%, but some. First time I have actually seen West play, what a passer! First time also watching Wilt, no defense to speak of. great leaping ability, no offensive moves, except get out of my way, I'm gonna dunk this ball, horrible attitude at free throw line, I think he made 2 of 6. Kareem played quite a few minutes, they called him Kareem Jabbar, left the middle part out. many stars I've never seen and some I've never heard of. Connie Hawkins had one of those wow moves, with a kind of extended finger roll type of move. Everybody was skinny, including Wes Unseld!
1982, only one holdover from 10 years prior, Kareem. didn't watch near as much of this, I had seen all of these players play. Players appeared much quicker, passes sharper, less defense, but still some.
1988, I wanted to see introductions to see if Kareem was still an all-star, but ESPN classic blew it and picked it up halfway through the 1st quarter. (I want to say this was Kareem's last all-star appearance, not sure). I didn't watch any of this.
