ESPN Bracketcaster

it's fun but generates way too many unrealistic upsets.

I just ran it and the final four was Washington St, Gonzaga, Memphis, and Georgia. Wazzu beats Memphis in the final.

Ran it, FF results:
Oklahoma vs. Wisconsi
Miami vs. Xavier

Miami wins it all over Oklahoma

wtf.gif

I ran the South about 25 times. Texas never made the Final Four and only made about 5 regional finals.

The second time I ran all the regions, UNC lost to the play-in game winner. Or maybe they lost to both teams at once, I don't know. Drake was the champ, upsetting Memphis then Wisconsin in the FF.

According to their computer, Wisconsin will win more than 50% of the games against Tennessee.

First time I run it, I **** you not....

My Final Four = Texas, USC, Louisville, UCLA
Texas vs. USC in the Championship.

USC won by 4

What a dump.

What a croc! The first and only time I ran it through the South region, there were only two games that were not upsets: Oregon over UTA in the second round and Miami over Saint Mary's in the first round. Austin Peay wound up making it to the FF.

If you go to head to head matchups, you will see they have Wisconsin favored over all 2 seeds. Texas is favored over all the other two seeds, but by a lot less than Wisconsin is.

I ran it and here's what i got:

Elite 8
Washington St. over Tennessee
Kansas over Kansas State
Texas over Pittsburgh
UCLA over Xavier

Final Four
Kansas over Washington State
Texas over UCLA

Championship
Texas over Kansas

so then i decided to run it all again...and got this:

Elite 8
Butler over Notre Dame
Kansas State over Kansas
Marquette over Memphis
Texas A&M over Georgia

Final Four
Kansas State over Butler
Texas A&M over Marquette

Championship
Texas A&M over Kansas State

WTF???

It took me five times running the South region for Texas to win the South.

First time Texas won the South we went on and won the tournament by beating UCLA in semis and Kansas in finals!

Coo. but not cool results.

Final 4:

Clemson
Southern Alabama
Duke
Memphis

Duke wins champtionship over Clemson.

Rest easy boys! I just had THE University take out KU in the finals, after sqeaking past a pesky Drake team in the Final Four matchup. UNC was the 4th member of the Final Four.

I checked out accuscores website. they had a table that gave the 16s a 4% chance of winning. Doesn't that says that a 16 should take out a 1 every 6.25 years (1/25 x 4 games per year)? I'm not buying.

1st time I ran it:
Tennessee over Kansas, Drake over Texas, Tennessee wins the title.

2nd time:
Tennessee loses in the 1st round to American
Kansas over UNC, Texas over Purdue, Horns win!!
