Surprised at the low rankings of the frogs and bears after their past couple of seasons.

Proud for the Horns.

The thing we have to remember in looking at these rankings is that Patterson and Briles are MUCH better at player evaluation than Ketch and Looch. There is some politics involved too. Horn and Aggie supporters pour a lot more money into ESPN and Rivals than do Bear and Horned Frog supporters.

This just proves that Charlie Strong will never be able to recruit in Texas because he doesn't have ties to the HS coaches.

Reminds me of our aggy poster who said of Strong, after only 3 weeks on the job, a high school Texas coach told him Strong was struggling to find his footing in recruiting. Only aggy.

Well opposing coaches better "struggle" too or they are going to get whupped bad now that Charlie and his crew know the landscape here.

It's the added out of state flavor that gave this class the pop to push it from good to great. Sure we did well in state, but 6 of 9 OOS guys were 4-stars. As opposed to 10 (9 4-star / 1 5-star) of 19 Texas kids rated as high. Without the excellent job the staff did outside Texas, we wouldn't be where we are. Strong did what he had to do to get it done and launch this bad boy back towards our rightful place in the national landscape.
