ESPN advertisement on CBS

So I am working from home and CBS Channell 11 in Dallas is on in the background, I noticed a World Cup advertisement being telecasted on ESPN this summer.

I double checked the channel and I am still not sure I saw what I saw.......has anybody else seen this? Is that legal?

I am not a big fan of ESPN, I think they have a monopoly and should be broken up but that is for a different board.

I don't really care about the World Cup either but I just thought this was weird.

I don't know, but I suppose that if EPSN and all that is ABC wanted to spend money to advertise CBS, I'm sure CBS would take it. Television networks are all whores, and I don't think they care where the money is coming from.

I would think this is a waste of money. I highly doubt somebody is watching CBS and saying, "Y'know what? I should take up watching soccer". Nope.

People who are fans of it know it is coming and won't miss it for the world. You may have those who are around them when they talk about it or watch it but I doubt there will be any converts out of the advertisement. So heck yeah CBS should take the money ABC and ESPN want to waste. Even people who are not fans of the beautiful game know the WC is coming.

Personally, I cannot wait and have planned the first part of my Summer around it.

thw world cup will not interfere with any cbs sports programming. why shouldnt they take the money.

on an unrelated note, if anyone watched the champions league final on fox last saturday, i loved the nike add of the players playing goats and heroes during the world cup, i thought it was funny.
