ESPN 3 question

I will be in London on business the weekend of the OU game. Does anyone know whether you can watch live streaming games on ESPN3 in England? The hotel that I am staying in has free WiFi.

Thanks and hook' em!!

Access to ESPN3 is controlled through the ISP (marketing agreements I suppose.) It may be possible and it's worth a try but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

For whatever reason, ESPN makes network carriers (ISPs) pay a little sumpin-sumpin to have ESPN3 available. I have ATT, which does have it, but... London? Kinda doubt, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

That said, there are quite a few domains that have broadcasts being streamed live. I've had really good luck the last couple of years with justin.tv, which has hundreds - if not thousands - of "members" streaming everything from webcams to movies to live network shows, all around the globe. American football usually sees damn near everything you could possibly see on cable. ABC is pretty chickenshit about shutting people down - apparently they have a staff whose only job is surfing for streamers in real time and reporting them to the carrier, which promptly pulls the plug... however - and particularly for "big games" - there are usually some people standing by to start a stream as soon as one gets dumped... it's worth a try, at any rate.

Of course, I'm not sure how they limit to US. If it is based on IP, you might can do the Remote Access and use a US based anonymizer/proxy.

I had luck a few years ago watching the TexasMissouri game the week after OU while in Taipei a couple of years ago on Justin.tv.
