Seems like ESPN has some seriously questionable rankings for some guys, at least relative to the other recruiting services

Notables
1. Matt Barkley (shocker)
2. Shepard (wow)
4. Kennard
5. Kirkpatrick
8. Loston
13. Walters
26. Gilbert
27. Paden Kelley
49. McFarland (huh?)
54. Davenport
56. Barrett Matthews (really?)
62. Whaley
63. Jarvis Jones
64. Christine Michael
75. Ashcraft
80. Marcus Davis
100. Dexter Pratt
103. Kevin Brent
118. Tariq Allen
149. Okafor (ouch!)

i hope the services are different. to me, that shows that someone is actually looking at the tape and evaluating it.....

Okafor will rise in the fall I believe.

Kelley is a big discrepancy. 3 star on Rivals but #27 overall on ESPN.

BM doesn't suprise me as much. TE's are going to be underrated on Rivals unless they are 6-8 and can play basketball if needed.

Porter is missing and that is a bit of a suprise.

RS #2 is just a joke. Even Vince wasn't that high.

I'm pretty confident that his Vinceness was the #1 overall player in the nation. I don't know about in ESPN's rankings, but unless you were smoking crack* at the time your rankings had VY #1.

*- or boning sheep in which case you had Regina #1.

At the end of the season yes, but I don't think so early on.

McNeal was also as highly rated or higher than Vince from what I remember. He took his team farther in the playoffs too.

When I saw Vince play in the all-star game after his senior season and he had just committed to Texas you could tell he was something very special for sure.

RS being ranked so high without showing much on the field thus far as a QB is the problem I have. I will be real interested to see what he does his senior season.

I just dont see UT landing shepard. I would love to have him play the Chiles type role in the offense, butidotn think he ends up anywhere but L$U.
