Wow, thanks for the info.

Very different compared to Rivals list. Rivals has 35 from Texas in top 250, compared to just 20 here. SEC has a significantly more kiids in top 250 than any other conference. I just don't believe that.

IMO, there's an agenda behind this list. ESPN and the SEC are partners now; you can throw objectivity out the window.

They want to make sure the nation KNOWS the SEC has the best recruits, coaches, stadia, etc. This is what happens when one broadcast entity has too much influence/coverage.

i put this up without comment, but i agree exactly with you guys. it is shocking to see the disparity here and in the rivals list. i posted these lists on the frank the tank blog and a fellow responded with info on nfl drafts from the various states and it was radically different. really shines an ugly light on both rivals and espn.

Guys, I look for Junipero Serra HS to become a monster in the near future, as far as cranking out players.

It's relatively new, and located in South Orange County. It's the only Catholic school in the region. In the past, the South OC catholic studs had made the long commute up to Mater Dei.

So Florida has more top recruits than Texas, California, Ohio, and Pennsylvania combined? Wow, I'm not sure what to make of that. I don't suppose we'll even have a chance at a MNC from here on out unless we start focusing more on OOS recruiting. I sure hope Mack sees this.

That is true but this ESPN list is so slanted towards Florida it has to be called into question. CA with only 11 on the top 250 and Texas with only 20 compared to Florida's 40 just not believable.

Texas produces some of the top talent year in and year out and our population is only increasing. If anything I would try and put Florida and Texas about even year in and year out.

A check on the relative boosting of a state's prospects would be to compare percent of 4*-5* recruits to percent of NFL players. If Florida has more former HS kids in the NFL than all those other states combined, perhaps ESPN is not FOS. Count me among the doubting Thomases, however.
