Eric Davis, 4-star shooting guard out of Saginaw, Michigan (the No. 41 player nationally by 247Sports) just announced his commitment to Texas!

Watched about 30 minutes of youtube clips of him. Impressed at his overall presence on the court and general shooting ability. We haven't had anyone who could hit the broad side of a barn with the ball the last couple seasons, outside of the soon-to-be-dismissed Walker. So hopefully he could fill that role.

I'm a little concerned that he spends so much time around the rim. We don't have much use for a 6'3" low post guy. He's going to need to be more of a distributor and slasher if that's his game. He was silky smooth on a lot of those fast breaks, and I think that's a dimension we've been missing since the departure of guys like Cory Joseph and J'Covan Brown.
