I posted this on Quackenbush a couple of weeks ago and haven't received a response, so I thought that I would try this Board.

Would I enjoy the Eragon series reading it as an adult?
I really enjoy fantasy novels.

I don't know Eragon but the Game of Thrones books were good. The only problem is that it has not yet been completed and you will have to wait for years to find out how the story finally ends.

If you like sci-fy let me recommend Ready Player One.

I started Game of Thrones a few years ago. I thought the first one was good and probably the second one also. By the third or fourth one, I was having so much trouble keeping up with the characters that I gave up.

Salonghorn-70. I totally agree that books one and two were much better than the next two. He probably should have just wrapped it up in a final third book without introducing that passel of new characters.

My 14-year-old son loved the mini-series and ended up reading all of the books. He likes the books, but hates the author because he keeps killing off favorite characters in heartbreaking ways.

Agree, Crockett. Re Game of Thrones, simply got tired of characters being killed off.

Eragon? Still hoping to get some comments on this.
