I think Man U is going to have a very strong team this year. I'm going to go way out on a limb and pick them to win the league this year....

I'll be City til I die, I'll be City til I die, I don't think I am I know I am, I'm City til I die!

And t'will be good to see the magpies in action again!

Also, I hope Don Garber let's Donovan go to Everton. I really want to watch him play this season. MLS makes me

Overmaars-

How interesting is starting the league with Tottenham? For years, they and Villa were the hopes to crash the big 4 party. They broke through last year at City's expense. will City fans expect the worst with a bad result Saturday?

BTW, I assume your moniker is honoring winger Marc?

If Chelsea's preseason from continues, they're aren't gonna finish at the top by a long shot.

It's sick how ManU can crank out these teams every damn year.

Here's to Liverpool not finishing in the top 7!!!

Actually RoughedUp, Stokes' first fixture is v. Wolverhampton. I think the City til' I die chant belongs to the Potters.

I do enjoy the Blues brand of football. Very fun to watch. I like them to qualify for the CL this season. They've made some clutch additions with Toure and Silva. And yes, Marc is indeed the inspiration behind the name; for some very random reasons.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought maybe we had another ManCity convert. They are a trendy team to cheer for in my crew.

Actually, I really love folks who don't follow a top 4 team. They're expectations are so reasonable that staying up or making Europe can be huge. That's so hard for Americans to understand since all of our leagues are win it all or nothing. 50% of nfl fans are talking about the future 6 or 7 weeks in!

I have really liked seeing Toure and what he has brought so far. There seems to be a chemistry that was not present this time last year. I am stoked Barry is still there and doing well. He's my current favorite along with SWP. Sure am glad to have him back.

To the above, yep, City is getting lots of bandwagon fans lately. I find it bizarre and I am still not used to it. Then again, I have rooted for City since '88. Nobody has to tell me the "romance" of rooting for a team trying to make it. Relegation, promotion, relegation, promotion. Fight to stay in league, narrowly avoid relegation, finish middle of table, relegation. So it went year after year.

Come on, you reds!

Yup Joe, it is shifty! So now you are aboard with The Prem, nice. Your Saturdays and Sundays begin a bit earlier now!

Ha ha, some of the comments are awesome. One dude asked when SWP and Richards signed with Spurs since they were their best players!

Last season City had what, 7 or so draws in a row? They are better than losses with no point but sheesh. I hope the season does not start out like that. Nice to at least have a point but it does sound like an ugly point. The second half seems better from what I am skimming through.

Many props to Jo Hart.

Love the fact that Chicharito got some minutes yesterday. That kid has impressed me (actually watched chivas play just to see him).

I still don't understand why he didn't play more in South Africa.

donovan played for everton, not dempsey. i follow everton, i love their manager moyes. he may be the best. does so much with limited resources. i think he takes over eventually at man u.
