Today is the last day of the contest and some new tree came in and is outgaining the Durrenberger's tree. VOTE, clear your cookies and vote again. Repeat.

Some new tree #32 came on and has more votes than Mihm_rules. We need to fix this pronto. Mihm_rules tree is Number 8. Link below.

pisses me off. her "story" is so lame compared to the Durrenberger's.

I did. she just entered the contest 3 weeks ago and will cheat her way to win the $1000.

it's a shame that some people think cheating with a program bot is okay.

I hope the website will see her votes and understand how she got so many. maybe they'll refuse her the award. but I doubt it.

something is happening on that site. clicking on your link above, you can vote on M_R's tree #8, but if you go to the site's homepage, then to the contest, M_R's tree is gone and hers has moved to #47 with just a few hundred votes.

When does the voting end? I clicked on the link but it won't let me vote, even though I haven't even voted. Tired and frustrated already, after wrestling with Prezi. I want to vote!

lostman, how have you been? Anyway, voting was supposed to end yesterday. I checked 2 weeks ago and his tree was comfortably in the lead. Then late yesteday, I checked and that girl's tree came out of nowhere. When we started voting again, they turned the voting bot on to stay ahead. In one 10 minute span last night, it went up over 800 votes. She started posting stupid comments and then getting borderline nasty about it and then the wolves attacked.

I really hope none of this falls back on the Durrenbergers. Early one, some people started messing with the bamboo tree lady, but thankfully laid off of her. We didn't need to tarnish mihm_rules image any, but that cheating chick was just way over the top.

I haven't been to look at the comments today...actually afraid to. But she and/or her buddies were obviously using a script to run up the votes and all hell broke loose when we called her on it.

I really thought she would just say, "sorry", but when she got indignant about it....well, screw her.
 
We are going to make this right with the Durrenbergers. A couple of dipshits screwed this up, so we need to clean up the mess. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] for details.

I think it's cool that you guys or somebody is "fixing" things. It's too bad it got broken to begin with. Are they just not awarding anything this year and ending the contest or did somebody else win?

It would be sort of funny if they awarded the money to the persons with the least amount of votes just because.

Very cool to have people chip in.

Things are just fine on this end. I hope the same at yours.
 
mihm_rules tree won the contest. I'm glad the contest sponsors saw through the cheating ***** and didn't let her win and still let Gary's tree stay in the contest. Also, a group from the other site has raised over $1,200 to add to the prize money that will fund his scholarship. PM me if you want more info on the scholarship fund.
