Fellow zealots, our Rangers are the hottest team in baseball at the moment, winners of 11 straight, with four shutouts in the last eight games. In addition, they've given up just one run in each of the last two games.

During the 11 games, they've scored 53 runs while giving up just 22.

Good momentum heading into a mid-week series at the Angels.

Rangers!

Hi, Texanne,
It is indeed a nice streak. The bats seem to be responding to Coolbaugh and his approach to hitting. And whatever the pitchers are on, I hope they keep using it.
Interesting thought on the sweep with Seattle - Seattle is a good-pitch-no-hit team, just like the A's. And the Angels also seem to be a bit offensively challenged. If the Rangers can continue to score 4-5 runs per game against these good-pitching teams and our pitching continues to shine, the lead should continue to grow.
A sweep in Anaheim would be terrific, but I'd honestly be pretty happy with two out of the three.

wow! Win the next three, and the fat lady starts warming up. I know it sounds way too premature, but a 7 game lead in late July, with this team being just about as healthy as they can possibly be:

Reminds me of that basketball game a couple of years ago when Billy Packer defied all conventional wisdom, I think it was a final four or elite 8 game, I guarantee you he made his bosses about as mad as they could get, I think it was actually in the first half, when he said the game was "ovah!".

Nantz tried to talk him out of it, but Billy was determined to call it.

For the last couple of weeks the Ranger starting rotation looks like the best this side of Philly. I'm hopeful for the bullpen with Hunter and Feldman healthy. No need to raid the farm system for a late season trade unless we can bring in someone really stellar as a closer or setup man.

crockett, your're talking about the guy in San Diego, the one that hinted that he would be willing to be a setup man for the rest of the year, if he were given a chance to compete for the closer spot next year.

That's the guy we need. He is this year's version of Cliff Lee, only difference is he would actually most likely be here next year to be the closer, with Feliz moving to the starting rotation.

If we think this year's rotation is good, next year's might be something really special with Feliz, C.J., Lewis, etc.
