I notice that stubhub allows for sales to be by electronic delivery and instant download. What's the difference in those two? What's to keep a seller from selling the same electronic ticket to 10 different buyers? How is electronic ticketing secure? Anyone know? Thanks.
I am not sure about the difference between "electronic delivery" and "instant download" is. I thought they were the same. I do know that the Texas Ticket office just entered an agreement with Stubhub this year, to allow electronic ticket sales. I have my tickets up there for the Oklahoma State game. I had to enter the barcodes for the tickets into stubhub. My understanding is, once someone purchases the tickets, the Texas ticket office reassigns those barcodes to the "electronic ticket" and it is downloaded by the purchaser. At that point, the hard tickets are no longer valid. My assumption is the Ticket office reassigns those seats to a new barcode before delivery.
PS- If you are interested, I have 4 seats in section 103, row 9 seats 27-30 (20-25 yadline) currently for sale for face value on stubhub. I have a Cub Scout overnight to attend with my son this weekend, so we can't make the game.
