has anyone tried these or know someone that's tried 'em?

my wife smokes maybe a pack a week, and i'm thinking this might lead her in the direction of quitting. and in the meantime, provide a safer alternative to the real thing.

E-Cig

based on what little research i've done... they're definitely not good for you... but they aren't as harmful as the real thing.

you have to be careful b/c one cartridge = half a pack and it's easy to blow through them. too much nicotine too fast

the website says "available in No Nicotine, Ultra Light, Light, and Full Flavor."

wonder if the ones with "no nicotine" are worth a damn.

i've messed around with them, but i'm not a smoker. They had a weird metallic aftertaste that i guess you would just get used to.

my ex was a sales rep for smoke stik, which is essentially the same thing. she liked them b/c she could smoke in places cigs are not allowed in (plane, movies, work). They also have a lot of diff flavors (apple, bubblegum, etc.) and I know that there are thc cartridges in cali if you have the right connections.

thanks for the info, dxspaz.

rickysrun... let's go into business together and create the E-Joint

They contain diethylene glycol and a recent study demonstrated they deliver nil to barely nil nicotine to the actual lungs. Huge waste of time, money, and still carcinogenic.

Smoking these things as opposed to real cigs is about the same as jumping off a twenty story building as opposed to a forty story building.

well... even if they're not much better for you... at least there's no smell, or ashtrays, or butts to deal with.

i think i'm gonna give 'em a go.

actually... i dont really smoke. i puff on cigars every now & then, but i don't inhale 'em.

my wife smokes about a pack of cigarettes a week, and i'd LOVE for her to quit.

she's willing to try this e-cig thing and i'm hopin it gets her on the path of quitting.

we'll see.

I swear by Chantix. I was a pack to a pack and a half smoker for more than 20 years and it will be a year since I had one next month. My wife quit cold turkey and made it about 6 months.
