Electric Razor

No, but I'm tempted to buy that one from Nivea that you can use in the shower. Anybody got that one?

i have a Norelco Quadra 7 and it works pretty damn well, but you have to shave every day or two with it. It doesn't do particularly well on multi-day stubble.

I already use the M3T and it's tearing my face apart. My doc recommended switching to an electric because it's so dry up here.

best thing for me about an electric razor is just using the beard trimmer. VERY rarely do i actually shave with the 'screen' part. Granted, i have blonde hair so its not very visible anytime.

I'm in the same boat as you, Mac. Blades cut the **** outta my face. I've been using electric razors for 15+ years and have had the best success w/ Brauns. They can be a little pricey, but you'll get several years out of a good one at least so the price pretty much evens out. Plus your face will thank you.

Mac, mine is a model 7570 and was one of the original self cleaning systems (my wife bought it for me when we were dating as a Christmas gift so it will be 4 years old in a month). I've never had a single problem with it (although my one gripe is having to buy the cleaning cartridges...you only get a few months use out of them but they do keep it clean). Buying a self-cleaning one really isn't a necessity as they're not that difficult to clean, just a bit messy. But it is damn convenient & I'm sure when I replace this one I'll look for another one w/ the cleaning system.

I've had several Brauns and have never had one break. I replace the cutter block/foil piece after about 18-24 months (that's about $30), keep 'em cleaned & oil occasionally w/ a lightweight household oil. I've replaced them for different reasons. I had a cheapo Norelco first & it was lousy so I stumbled on one of the original "cool" looking Braun's on clearance at Target in '89 or '90. I'd seen their stylized commercials & thought I'd give it a shot. It worked great & I've been hooked ever since.

I replaced that one after about 4 years for one of their first Flex Integral models (pivoting head) and used that until my wife got me the new one about 6 years later. That one still worked but the battery was beginning to lose its charge rather quickly.

I've been extremely pleased w/ the Braun shavers. I don't have one of those mountain men beards that take a chainsaw to get through, but it's kind of patchy so if I don't get a close shave it can look really bad. The Brauns have never let me down.

I've had this for about a year and I love it. I used to not be able to get a completely close shave with an electric and would have to use a razor but not anymore.
