She joins the UT staff! A very good hire!

This should also hush some of the nay-sayers in regards to no one on staff having texas ties. Excellent hire as many of the players have spoken to how much her voice helped them after the slow big 12 start. She also knows what it takes to be the very best player in the nation

I'm sure word got to Coach G that having no one with Texas ties is problematic. Not trying to diminish the hire in any way, shape or form as this is the best staff hire thus far.

I’m very happy to have Edwina on staff. You just can’t have enough Wade Trophy winners hanging around your team.

I’ve seen Edwina many times over the years at camps and clinics and the one thing that I always noticed was that every time she was not busy otherwise she was off somewhere by herself working on something. She is not just talented, but also understands what it takes to be great.

I remember talking to her during her time at UT and she was, at least when I saw her, very soft-spoken. I saw her again recently speaking after a UT game to a large group and I was amazed at how well spoken and mature she seemed……..I shouldn’t have been. I have watched enough young people grow up to know that is what happens. But, my goodness she was impressive.

I thought some of the teams she played with at Texas relied on her a little too much for scoring. That wasn’t her fault, but it was sometimes funny to watch teammates stand around and wait to see what she was going to do this time…….I would really like to see Edwina be able to spend time with AT. I think AT has some talent that reminds me of Edwina which has not been fully realized. I’m not looking for a Wade Trophy, but I think there is more that could be developed than we have seen so far. I think she has spent a lot of time transforming herself into a PG and given the chance she could become a much more consistent scoring threat.

So, is she replacing the previous strength and conditioning coach? Logan……I forget the last name…..S&C Assistant Coach, or Assistant S&C coach?

Saw Edwina at last season's summer camp. Really impressive in her ability to communicate and in her passion for the game.

Here's the link to the press release. Named as "strength and conditioning assistant coach for Women's Basketball." Doesn't say if she replaces anyone.

Aren't there rules as to how many coaches you can have on staff? Were we one short of the maximum before this?
