how are the home/visitor teams determined in these tournaments? I know during regionals it's something like a combination of seed and how many times a team has been home or visitor prior to the game at hand.

Tie breaker rule is only used for Sunday games in conference head to head series.

In the regular season, the run rule is in effect only for the Sunday game of conference series or any other time that the head coaches agree to use it beforehand. But for the conference tournament, the run rule has been in effect for all games, due to time restrictions. They just haven't had to use it yet.

For a 9-inning game, the rule goes into effect in the 7th inning; for 7-inning games, it goes into effect in the 5th inning.
