Early look at OU

Whitney (Hand) Jones is playing pretty good. Not wearing a knee brace like last season. Ellenberg is hitting that 3pter pretty consistently.

Im seeing different things when I watch the highlights. I think OU will be a scary team next year, not scary good, but more like we were last year (never knowing which team will show up). It looks like the identity of this team that I am seeing so far seems to be very jumpshot oriented with no real post presence. I believe that rebounding and points in the paint (Both for and against) will be problematic during the year. We seem to be much more balanced that they are, but we were better than a few teams last year on paper that we seemed to still lose to. I cant wait for the year to start.

OU & Texas were dependent on the perimeter play to win last season except for a short stretch where AG averaged in double figures. OU's posts will need to be more offensive minded this season but the guards looked good from BTA and driving inside. We will have to shut down their outside shooting.

I never understand how Whitney can be so good with such a bizarre jumpshot. I mean I guess it's better form than Shawn Marion......
