The 2013 Jr. Days are upon us and will be held in February, the 1st Jr. day being on Feb. 12th... and Texas is amassing quite an elite list! Invites started going out in the last 10 days. I will update as it is reported.

I took a quick look at the current roster and found fewer than 10 Jrs. So 2013 recruiting might be another crazy year with so few scholarships known to be coming available. I wonder if we will see the early flood of verbals we have seen in past years or will the staff have to cherry pick and wait before making a bunch of offers. The 2012 recruiting season has been crazy with more scholarships than expected by those of us out of the loop, the JUCO infusion and the unusual attrition count which may not be over depending on if any decide to go the pro route early.

Six months ago, we didn't have very many ships available for the 2012 class either. But low and behold, lightning mysteriously struck down and we could have ended up with 30 available ships if we wanted to give that many out. Just amazing! Truly!

Surely we won't see another class of 25+ for next year like we are seeing for the 2012 class... and my name is not Shirley!

I have read that the class size for 2013 will be no larger than 20, so you shouldn't see a list of 13-15 commits by the end of February... but Texas is in very good shape for some of the top prospects in the state and Texas will go after them!

A couple 2-3 weeks ago, Hookem.com ran an evaluation of the 2008, 2009 & 2010 classes and was great! It showed how many misses there were in the '08 & '09 classes! Starting to look like the '10 class might turn out the same...
