Eagles out this Mutha?

If he wants to leave that's fine, just play in the bowl game. Abandoning teammates during the season is cowardice.

Yeah, if the bowl game is so meaningless why play it, why watch, why go to it?

Eagles was a decent receiver this year but what do people think about his pro prospects? Humphrey left early, had a better college career, and had been on the practice squad since then, though I believe he’s hampered by a lack of NFL speed.

It’s going to be a far different team next year. Time for all those high recruiting classes full of my favorite word on Hornfans “talent!” to step up and keep Texas at its high level of play - 3 to 5 losses per year.

Unlike Ossai, I will gladly let Eagles leave. I've never thought he played hard or ran sharp routes, both indications of laziness. Plenty of talent, just seldom applied it, plus there's the way he approached the "summer fun".

Bye Felicia

But, by all means, Texas should keep herman if no other coaches are available.

Hell, even hpslugga would be better at this point.
Hpslugga washed out of coaching in his early 30's. Most likely due to him telling his superiors what a bunch of idiots they were for not doing what he told him they should.

By all accounts he's a bit of a head case. Has an on/ off motor and may not give 100% if not involved in the called play.
But certainly has the size/ frame "the league" likes and you can't coach that.
Calling him a coward if he chooses to skip the bowl game is a bit over the top and seems like sour grapes.
Skipping bowl games , " opting out" are now just part of the college football landscape.
There is no turning back now.

I think he is probably the most arrogant prick poster HF has ever seen. I mean, in a way, I appreciated it as it kept me from the top of the list.

Gladly see all, who don't love this university enough to put their horns up for The Eyes of Texas, leave. I want to cheer for TEXAS LONGHORNS, not a bunch of pretenders. If we are going to be mediocre anyway, lets be mediocre with True Longhorns who bleed burnt orange !!!!!!!!

He'll fit right in, in the NFL. Glad he's leaving. So, "Na na na naaa, na na na naaa, hey hey hey....goodbye."

Lovell Pinkney 2.0. Crazy athletic advantages, but plays like someone with 1/2 as much.

Ahh Lovell - I remember watching him against Syracuse in '92 thinking we had a beast for several years. Fizzle

Good comparison

After the garbage he pulled last summer, much like Stearns this may be addition by subtraction.
The year before he reportedly called the WR coach a racist. The same WR coach is now working for a black head coach.

Eagles = A very good on-field talent. A disruption in the locker room.

Might fit well with a team that thrives on "characters", such as the Raiders.

Majestic I hope you are correct - that the cancer is leaving - if that is true then I can weather it, if not then s***!
What about others? What about next year? If we get a coach like Urban the talent drain will be huge every year.
Of coarse Urban would have a bench full of 4 and 5*
Again, that's the landscape now.

He better run more than the 4.79 LJH ran. That's what doomed LJH in the NFL. You can't just out muscle NFL players. LJH would have been better off to come back and bulk up to 240 or more and play a TE role like a Jimmy Graham. You have to know how fast you are ahead of the combine. LJH acted shocked he only ran a 4.8. Part of success in life is knowing who you are and who you aren't and playing to your strengths. Doesn't matter the profession. Hell Geoff Swaim has 6 years in the league. Anyone think he has more talent that LJH? He knew what role he could play and worked towards being the best he could at that role.

Yeah that was lineman speed. Should have come back another year and worked on what he could have. New Orleans practice squad can’t be what his dream was when he left early.
